What is Freemasonry?
Freemasonry is one of the world’s oldest fraternal organizations. It brings together men of good character, of every background, who believe in a Supreme Being, and it encourages each member to become a better man, a better citizen, and a better neighbor.
Masons are taught through ritual and symbolism, much of it drawn from the tools of the ancient stonemasons, such as the square and compasses that serve as the fraternity’s best-known emblem. The lessons emphasize principles often summarized as Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth.
- Brotherly Love — treating all people with tolerance and respect.
- Relief — charity and care for one’s family, Brethren, and community.
- Truth — striving for honesty and integrity in all things.
Freemasonry is not a religion, nor a substitute for one, and political and sectarian religious discussion is not permitted in the Lodge.
Visiting Brethren
Visiting Master Masons in good standing are welcome at our Regular Communications. Please bring your current dues card and contact the Lodge ahead of time if possible.
